Slate Black Natural, the darker twin of Slate Grey Natural, is inspired by natural slate stone. Slate is a metamorphic rock of sedimentary origin, known for its fine grained and foliated appearance caused by natural geological shearing forces and differential heat and pressure.
Slate Black Natural is a beautiful interpretation of slate, it exhibits the visual aspects of foliation through a smooth, thin and flat layering effect made up of varying hues of deep charcoal black and and distinct diagonal fissures in fine, lighter variations of charcoal and grey hues.
The natural finish on the slab enhances the fine grained texture of this material, creating a beautiful sensory experience. The neutral, homogeneous colour of Slate Black natural makes for a versatile material perfectly suited for dark, rustic and dramatic interiors or exteriors or in areas where one would like to invite a natural, earthy and organic aesthetic to the desired space.
